Synopsis

A young man named Pedro (Jorge Adrián Espinosa) smuggles himself to New York to find his real father.  However, along the way, a thief named Juan (Armando Hérnandez) steals Pedro’s backpack.  When Pedro arrives to New York, he struggles to survive, all the while searching for his father.  Along the way, Pedro finds help through a prostitute named Magda (Paola Mendoza). Meanwhile, Juan quickly locates Pedro’s father Jorge (Jesús Ochoa).  However, Juan has difficulties conning Jorge into believing Juan is his son.  First-time director and writer Christopher Zalla’s film won the 2007 Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.
